Wys's BMW E30

The E30 is the car that often starts all BMW enthusiast stories. The same goes for Wys and his E30. He recalls seeing one everyday drive by his work, quickly falling in love with the car, he decided to pursue in finding one for himself.
His Dad was the one that found one for sale in Toronto. Wys can remember seeing the car for the first time hidden in the back parking lot of a gas station, the For Sale sign fallen off and seeming forgotten. After making the owner an offer, the car was on it's way to it's new home.
Not being really able to afford professional hands to help fix up his newly acquired E30, Wys quickly became a DIY'er. With help from various GTA E30 owners and fellow Maxbimmer members, his E30 quickly returned to OEM running standards.
At the start Wys wanted to focused on purely performance, although with a high schoolers budget, increasing the engine numbers wasn't feasible at the time. He decided to shift his focus on touching up the interior and giving it a decent stance. Installing custom coilovers that included shorter custom rear springs, his E30 is able to sit nearly belly flat. Finding some new wheels with a bit more dish helped give this Bimmer a wider stance. Next was the full custom exhaust for a deeper sound. The rusted fender wasn't intentional, but more of a quick compromise. After a late night cruise, Wys unfortunately hit his driver side fender. With no inexpensive Alpine White fenders bouncing around, he decided to throw on a Beige one and rust the hell out of it. It definitely adds to the “hot rod” vibe this E30 gives off. It’s a car that is notably unique and in everyway filled with cool character.
